Put Our Experience To Work For You.
Mark Olson
President
Mark is not only the key architect in “getting the band back together” at ENTEGRA, but as an original founder of CPIG was instrumental in the commercialization of high-resolution, MFL/Caliper technology for the industry. That the industry is evolving again – and he and his team are again part of it – is a point of both excitement and pride for Mark. His vision for the business, and his focus on the mission and values at the foundation of the company, have helped ENTEGRA raise the bar when it comes to delivering pipeline integrity.
A Mechanical Engineer by training, Mark brings a wealth of operational experience to his partnership role with operators. As a General Manager, an industry consultant and as the founder and President of CPIG, he has made his mark on the industry. ENTEGRA is the next, logical step.
Mark has a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University, is a private pilot, is a former IndyCar team owner and driver and was most recently the President of Kinetech, a technology company in the automotive industry, which he sold in 2014. Mark is married with three lovely daughters and lives in Indianapolis.
Memorable Project: Co-founding of CPIG and the impact of that company on the entire combo tool category will forever be an important and memorable part of his legacy.
Rick Desaulniers
Director of Customer Solutions
There are two things Rick doesn’t want you to know: what sports teams he likes and the fact that many consider him one of the finest ILI data analysts in the world. The first makes sense; he’s trying to avoid having to bust chops. The second probably doesn’t, unless you get to know him and his simple, no-nonsense way of doing business. To Rick, it’s all about the job. It’s all about his customers. It’s all about delivering.
From Rick’s point of view as an analyst, it all boils down to providing essential information to partner operators in the service of preventing environmental disasters. The data needs to be accurate. It needs to make sense. It needs to facilitate real solutions. And it’s essential that it meets a customer’s specific needs. That was true when he co-founded CPIG with Mark Olson and Paul Pirner. It’s true now. And it’s been true his entire 30-year career.
Rick’s main lesson: the job’s not done because he’s issued a final report. To him, that’s just the beginning. At the point another vendor may be finishing up, Rick’s job as a true partner is really just beginning.
Memorable Project: According to Rick, they’re all important. He sees himself as a kind of firefighter…and in some regards no two “fires” are the same. His view is that your typical report doesn’t have 30 years of experience behind it telling the operator what to do next. That’s where he comes in. And not by email or in some file full of charts, but on the phone. Because communication is what it’s all about.
Paul Pirner
Director of Engineering
Paul began his career in pipeline inspection in 1993. A Mechanical Engineer by trade, he was a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor working on a host of international projects prior to his co-founding of CPIG.
At CPIG, Paul was responsible for innovation and engineering development, a lead role he currently plays for us here at ENTEGRA. A proven R&D team lead and responsible for the commercialization of no fewer than five different pipeline inspection tool technologies, Paul is excited to once again be on the cutting edge and introducing yet another evolutionary technology to the industry.
A graduate of Ryerson University in Toronto, Paul immigrated to Canada from the Czech Republic in 1985. He is the married father of young twins and his personal interests include tennis, motorcycle racing, Formula 1 car racing, and driving his M3 at local track days. So Paul is as at home talking cars as he is talking combo tools.
Memorable Project: Being a catalyst and contributor to the evolution in ILI technology that came with the commercialization of high-resolution combo MFL/Caliper technology.
Aaron Crowder
Director of Global Sales and Marketing
Aaron has thrived as an up-and-coming leader on the front-line of the ILI business since 2007 holding positions in Data Analysis, Sales, Project Management, and Global Management of Account and Project Management teams. A graduate of both Colorado State University, and Colorado Mountain College, Aaron got his degrees in Technical Journalism, Social Science, and Communications. Aaron’s professional creativeness and customer focus started when he began his career in the action sports industry straight out of college with positions at both ESPN and Burton Snowboards.
Crowder’s transition from Action Sports into Pipeline Integrity wasn’t by accident or chance. “I was first introduced to the ILI business in my early teens as I watched my Uncle build Magpie Systems (an ILI company that was eventually acquired by T.D. Williamson). Because of that exposure, I always had an interest in the Pipeline Integrity space.”
Aaron is based in Salt Lake City, UT and spends all of his free time mountain biking, skiing, fly-fishing, and spending time outdoors with his wife and son.
Memorable Project: Having the opportunity to create and lead a Project Management team and philosophy to support a high volume, high dollar ILI business. This team quickly developed into a fun and industry leading group of professionals which raised the cultural expectations of the company and the performance standards of Project Management within the ILI business.
Koty Bogle
Director of Global Operations
Koty has been in the ILI business since 2006. His time as an emerging leader has been spent in operations working directly with Engineering, Field Operations and the ILI tools in a shop environment. He moved from the shop into Global Training Management and then Field Operations Management. Now as the Director of Operations, Bogle oversees ENTEGRA’s growing team of field technicians, who are committed to delivering excellence to the company’s customers. “Everybody wants to work together to help each other get to that end result, which is getting that final report out to the client safely and accurately,” he says.
Koty is married with two young children, and has recently relocated to the Indianapolis area with his family. He has an associate of science degree in electronic engineering from ITT Technical Institute Boise and a bachelor of science in business administration from Western Governors University. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, fishing with his son and tinkering with an old Chevy C-10 pick up he’s restoring.
Memorable Project: As a Manager of Global Support for a large ILI company, I had the opportunity to travel the world and build training and support infrastructure to help drive a global ILI business. Within that time I acquired a strong understanding of global business needs and lead a team of individuals that ultimately grew global operations.
Keith L. Bryant
National Account Manager
Keith’s priority at ENTEGRA is establishing strong client relationships. For him, that means delivering, both personally and professionally. And that’s something he’s been doing for more than 30 years. Keith is quick to make the distinction between being a vendor and serving customers as a true partner, which more than anything else is what brought him back to work with his associates at ENTEGRA.
Keith notes such factors as technology, established relationships (that he forged at two previous pipeline inspection companies), engineering excellence and management philosophy as his main reasons for bringing his talent and experience to ENTEGRA. In particular, he cites ENTEGRA’s next-generation technology – 4x resolution, shorter and lighter tool design and the ability to innovate in the combo tool category – as key motivators for him.
According to Keith, when it comes to service and building strong relationships, “you can’t drop the ball at the goal line.” The job doesn’t stop when the report is delivered.
Memorable Project: An inspection that involved a 12” pipeline running through 50 miles of fragile Louisiana Wetlands. The tool, rated for a 25% bore restriction, encountered a 33% bore restriction that necessitated the rescuing of the tool. The pressure from the rescue pig’s approach actually pushed the tool through the restriction, and it emerged at the other end undamaged.
Terry Wheeler
Sr. National Accounts Manager
Terry has been a believer in ILI technology since 1975 and an evangelist ever since. In a world that is more reliant on diverse energy solutions than ever – requiring the transport of energy products over vast distances – Terry sees what we do as not just our job but also our responsibility. He shares the view that, bar none, the safest, cleanest, most environmentally sensitive way to move energy products is through pipelines. And he takes pride in the fact that in his role at ENTEGRA, he’s helping people take care of that infrastructure to make it even safer.
His relationship philosophy centers on people and the proper managing of their business. Terry is adamant that we need to be part of the solution, it’s our job to do the heavy lifting and that “we have two ears and one mouth for good reasons” – to listen, to respond and to deliver for our clients.
Memorable Project: It was actually one of Terry’s first projects and the one that made him such a believer in in-line technology. On that particular job, the analytics told the operator that there was a fault 375 feet from a particular valve. The operator was skeptical, but when they went out, dug it out and broke off the coating, there it was, right where the technology said it was. That was in 1975. Terry has been growing with the technology ever since.
